主要围绕人工智能、自动控制、信息与通信技术在交通系统中的应用，开展交通机电系统智能控制、多车辆系统协同控制、故障诊断、自主交通系统智能决策与多目标优化、道路交通环境的智能感知、危险货物运输风险评估与监测等方面的研究、技术开发及高层次人才培养。

Focusing on the application of artificial intelligence, automatic control, information and communication technology in transportation system, the research, technology development and high-level personnel training of intelligent control of traffic electromechanical system, cooperative control of multi-vehicle system, fault diagnosis, intelligent decision-making and multi-objective optimization of autonomous transportation system, intelligent perception of road traffic environment, risk assessment and monitoring of dangerous goods transportation are carried out.
